Baby #2 is on the way!

We are so excited to announce that we are having another little one in November! Yes, Brayden is FINALLY going to be a BIG BROTHER! We have people all the time asking "when are ya'll going to have another?", "Are you going to have another?" Well, the answer is "NOW" and "Yes"! We've always wanted more children, but would be very happy with just Brayden! We had a rough year last year, after my grandmother had and stroke in February, I miscarried in Feburary also. I found out I was pregant in June last year and was so excited, then my mom found out she had breast cancer and I miscarried shortly after that. So, We decided to wait a while before trying again. I even had a few tests run, just to make sure everything was ok...every test came back normal! Praise God! Of course I still questioned because I had NO trouble whatsoever with Brayden, which I should not have done, because God knows what we can handle and is bigger than we can ever imagine!

We are 15 weeks now and have had 3 ultrasounds and everything looks great so far. I am going to the Dr. about every 2 to 3 weeks because of the past miscarriages and I'm loving hearing this little heartbeat as often as possible! Our due date is November 22 and will be happy with whatever we are blessed with, boy or girl. Brayden says he wants a little brother, but we will see! :)

Spring Break/Disney World 2010

I'm finally getting arount to posting our Disney trip! This year during Spring Break we went to Disney World! We went with Bo's parents and had the best time! Brayden LOVED all the characters. We ate with several of them and stood in line to meet some too! He's really into Toy Story, so we got to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody! We even got to see some of the Toy Soldiers! He loved riding all the rides he could ride on! He wanted to ride every ride twice! I left out the Animal Kingdom pics and will post them later. We ate lots of good food while we were there... you'll see some of the places we ate at. I left out Ohana's(i just didn't take any pics while we were there)...which was one of our favorites...it's a lot like Texas de Brazil, if you've ever eaten there, but very kid friendly! We missed some things and hopefully will catch them the next time we go! Lots of pictures below!

Our first night in Downtown Disney we ate at T-Rex! Lots of fun if you have boys! Brayden loves Dinosaurs right now, so this was a big treat! When you walk in, there is a life size T-Rex and it moves! There's also a Build A Dinosaur in there too....and a place to dig up fossils! Very kid friendly and great food! :) Below : We ate in the ice cave part of T-Rex! It would change colors every 15 mins. Here's the whole family:ME, Bo, Brayden, RuRu, Papa, and Uncle Josh

Here is Brayden getting his haircut at Magic Kingdom. It was lots of fun! he got LOTS of mickey stickers and Sprinkles to top off his haircut!

We ate at Crystal Palace(with Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet). This was our first charcter lunch and Brayden LOVED them! It's in Magic Kingdom and has a great view of the Castle while you are eating!

We finally find Woody! We had been telling Brayden that we would get to meet him and we did!! Brayden didn't want to leave him! But we got to see him again the next day at Hollywood Studios!

Brayden and I on Toy Story Mania...another one of our favorites!! we only got to ride it twice, since it was new and lots of others wanted to ride it too! We rode this as soon as we walked into Hollywood Studios and then got a fast pass.... there were 2 hour waits for this ride!

We ate at the 50's Diner in Hollywood Studios and this was our waiter, Mark! It's set like a kitchen from the 1950's and have old tv shows(The Donna Reed Show, Patty Duke, Lassie) playing while you eat! They are strict here! No putting your elbows on the table and you had to eat all of your food before you got dessert!! Lots of fun...they keep you on your toes... and great food!!!

One of Brayden's favorite movies is Monster's Inc. We found Mike and Sully! A lot of the kids were scared of them but Brayden loves them! He thought they were so much fun!

Our next meal was breakfast at Cape May with Donald Duck, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse! We loved it here! They were dressed for the beach!

Our last night, we saved the best for last! Chef Mickeys! Great food and a wonderful time with the characters! We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto!

Brayden has a new friend/toy/puppy and so does Wrigley!! TINKERBELL! We have had Tinkerbell for 2 weeks now. My SIL, Ashley, found her and couldn't keep her, so we took her in. The vet said that she around 8weeks old and is a lab mix. Brayden loves carrying Tinkerbell around! Wrigley is staying outside now(all the time) since we got Tinkerbell! She has finally adjusted to her and sleeping outside all together! Gabby even enjoyed playing with her yesterday!

10 Year Reunion!

My 10 Year reunion was the first weekend in October in Columbus and Bo's was the second weekend in October in Greenville! We had lots of fun at both of them.

Here are a few pics from mine first. We met up at the Homecoming game Friday night and then Lake Lowndes for family picnic and then the Country Club for dinner and dancing!

Ok bloggers, we are still alive! It is hard for me to update regularly now with a 2 year old! It's finding time in between naps and going to bed and doing chores in between!

Halloween has come and gone and so has Thanksgiving and Christmas! Bo and I have both had 10 year class reunions. It's about to be a new year and hopefully, I can keep up!

This year for Halloween, Brayden was a lion! I have to say he was a cute little lion with a big "ROAR". He had the roar down pat! We went to a couple of houses trick or treating and then went to eat with good friends! Bo had to work so he missed out on all the fun! He did get to go trunk or treating at church.

My Little Boy is a Big Boy Now!

This is a little late, but I have to brag! Brayden is now potty trained!! He has been for a little over a month now! I have to say it was very easy for us. I went to pick him up from school one Thursday and his teacher told me he was moving up to another class and they are potty trained. So, I went home and put big boy underwear on him and we had a few accidents that day and on friday. On Saturday, we had about 3 accidents ALL day and about 2 on Sunday! He was then potty trained on Monday with no accidents ALL day! He's done really well with his big boy underwear! I guess he was ready all along and I wasn't! I have enjoyed not having to buy diapers, but it's hard when we travel now!! We have to make several stops now, but it's worth it!!

Pumpkin Patch '09

We went to the pumpkin patch and had so much fun! We went during the week, so we were the only ones there when we got there. Brayden had a blast riding the John Deere tractors and playing in the corn! He also had fun playing around the pumpkins and picking them out! We came home with lots of pumpkins in ALL sizes!

Disney Live

We went to Disney Live in Tupelo a few weekends ago. We sat on the 3rd row and Brayden had a blast! I don't think he's ever sat so still! He did not budge the entire show! We got to see Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and The Little Einsteins! Brayden's favorites were Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse! Here's a few of the pictures!

Panama City Beach

We went to Panama City Beach last week for a little vacation and to play softball. It started out pretty rough! We went to Loxley to spent a little time with my brother and Ashley before heading to the beach....brayden was running a fever the night we got to their house, woke up and was still running fever so we took him to the doctor and it was the FLU....on our way back to Drew's house, my car goes dead! I keep saying my car is only 3 years old, what could be causing this to happen???? We were not out of gas either! I call AAA and they siad it was going to be an hour before someone was going to be there to tow us. I get a little upset because it's 95 degrees, no air, brayden is asleep with the flu, and we were headed out for the beach! Luckily, Drew and Ashley had taken the day off and were able to help out and get brayden somewhere with air.... we get the explorer towed and the shop can't do anything b/c the control panel is out, so we get it towed to the ford dealership and it's ends up that a "LOVEBUG" seeped through the air filter and shorted out the control panel. $350 I might add! The rest of the trip was great though! Brayden had a mild case of the flu and we were able to enjoy the beach, shopping and softball.

Brayden didn't have a great time at the ocean. He wanted to go to the "other beach" (the swimming pool)... the turtle was swinmming in the water outside our condo! He was BIG!

This is what we do on the weekends when Bo is off... SOFTBALL! We have lots of fun traveling and watching Bo play. Brayden always wants to be right there with his daddy. We have enjoyed getting to know the guys on Team Witness and have made wonderful friends this year!

Gyser Falls

Bo, Brayden, and I loaded up one Monday and headed to Gyser Falls. This was our first trip there and we LOVED it. It was overcast when got there and actually pretty cool, but by lunch it started warming up. We stayed until Brayden couldn't hold his eyes open any longer. Brayden had the best time playing in the kid's splash area! Bo got to ride a couple of slides, but we mainly let Brayden play. We all enjoyed the lazy river and the wave pool!

4th of July

Fourth of July, we spent the weekend in Greenville with Bo's parents. It was good to get away and to spend time with family! Brayden swam all weekend. He loves the water. By the end of the weekend, he was swimming really well! He loved just jumping in!

We have spent a lot of time outside so far this summer even though it has been HOT, Brayden wouldn't have it anyother way! He has a little pool that he dives into and he has seveal times fully clothed, just when we were about to go somewhere! He's not scared of anything and loves the water.

Kevin Long and Pam got married in Orange Beach on Mother's Day weekend. (I'm just a little behind on posting) The wedding was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been any nicer for them. Drew and Ashley met us at The Wharf and picked up Brayden, so he didn't get to go to the wedding. The next day, we spent with Drew and Ashley. Brayden got to see the alligators, lots of them...it was really only about 4, but that's a lot to me in one place! Here are pics from the wedding and from the visit with the alligators!

My Baby Turns 2!

I have finally gotten my computer back!! (long birthday post)

Brayden turned 2 on the 18th of May! I can't believe 2 years have gone by since this little boy came into this world! It seems like yesterday! He is talking in complete sentences for the most part and we can understand just about everything he tries to tell us. Last night bo was counting with him to 10 and when Bo got to 5, brayden just finished it off saying six, even , eight, nine, ten, YAY!! It was so funny! I say once again he is at my favorite stage, but they ALL have been my favorite!

Brayden weighs 28lbs (50%), 36 inches (95%). He's tall and skinny!

We are working on the potty training, but he's still not ready just yet. We get up and go to the potty every morning now and a couple of times during the day and every night. I think it might be me....it just seems like we are always on the go! If we stayed at home all week, we might accomplish it!

His favorite thing is still balls! He loves them. We try giving him trucks, but he doesn't play with them long and before we know he's got a ball in his hand. He loves to color, and play outside! We have already spent a lot of time outside playing this summer. Brayden and Wrigley have a good time!

We had B's party at Jumpin G's the Saturday before his actual birthday. He and all of his friends had a blast! It was a Mickey Mouse theme... we played and ate hotdogs and cake!

Monday was his actual birthday and he had a little party at school (I made baseball cupcakes for his class, since they all know he loves balls)

We are still alive! I have lots to post! Our computer is down and has been for the past week! I'm actually typing this from my phone right now. Little brayden turned 2 last Monday and I didn't get to post, but I will as soon as the computer is fixed! He is talking so much now and we can actually understand him for the most part! We are enjoying every minute of him! More to come soon!!

Easter 2009

I didn't get any family pics this year, just ones of Brayden before he changed. Sunday morning I left for church early and left Bo in charge of getting Brayden ready. I left two outfits out for him to pick from and he came to church in this. I thought Bo did pretty good dressing the kid. These were taken after church.

We had a very nice Easter. We got to spend Sunday afternoon with family at my grandparents house. My grandmother suffered from a stroke about 2 months ago and has been doing really well over the last couple of weeks. After we got through eating lunch, Sunday, she fell and broke her hip. My mom and my aunt took her to Tupelo and she had surgery Monday night. She is doing good and will get to come home on Thursday or Friday. We did get a little egg hunt in for the kids at my grandparents.

Brayden loves playing with Bo's old Starting Line Up men. If you are a guy, I'm sure you had these when you were little or your brother may have had them(mine did). Bo let Brayden play with a few of his old ones, the football ones that have helmets that are removable. Brayden keeps up with the helmets separate from the players. I dont' know why, but he does. Here lately he has been playing with them together, putting the helmets on the players. Yesterday, I was doing sometheing in the kitchen and came to sit down in the living room to find this on the table next to me. I had to take a picture, because I was amazed that these players had the right helmet on! (all except one, i actually couldn't find the player, so I guess Brayden just stuck it on the one that had the same colors)

Celeste and Rowe came over the other night while Bo was working nights. We watched a movie and let the boys play together. Rowe was so red from playing so hard with Brayden. They had the best time climbing, flipping, and running with each other. I'm sure they both slept good that night!

We had a play date with some of our friends a couple of weeks ago! Brayden had fun playing with everyone! Brayden is happy most of the time. He wasn't too happy last week when he had strep throat. He's definately a lot better now. Bo and I just love this little boy. He is now 21 months old and is putting more words together, so we can understand him now when he talks... most of the time anyways. He can identify and say his colors, loves to dance and sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and the Wheels on the bus. His favorite shows are Tigger and Pooh, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and The Imagination Movers and Handy Manny. He loves Melmo(Elmo), but doesn't like to watch him. He loves to play with his Little People, his Handy Manny tools and of course Balls!

Trip to Greenville

A couple of weeks ago, we took a trip to Greenville to spend some time with Bo's parents for their birthdays. We were actually there for his dad's birthday. We all went to eat at the Mexican restaurant and they threw whipped cream in his face and he and Brayden got to wear the sombrero. Bo's mom's birthday was the next week.

We are still alive! We are tyring to get back into the swing of things. We have had a busy 3 weeks. Three weeks ago today my mom's mom had a stroke and had to have emergency brain surgery that night. She came through it fine, but was in ICU for 5 days in Tupelo. She is in rehab at the hospital there right now and is doing so well that she is coming home Friday! Praise God! So we have made many trips up to Tupelo the keep her company and we have done some work around her house to get ready for her homecoming. Also, we found out Brayden has strep throat and has not been feeling all that great. He is getting better and back to his old self again. Trying to keep up with him is lots of fun but exhausting too! :) We also made a trip to Greenville to visit with Bo's family for both of his parent's birthday. They are about a week apart. So, telling you all that, we have been pretty busy. I will post pics soon!

We had The Gillis' over for New Year's Eve. We had snack's and taco soup. We also knew the boys couldn't stay up till midnight, so we shot the fireworks at 9:00 instead. My dad had brought over a few BIG ones and Bradyen did not like them too much. Rowe didn't seem to mind them.

Brayden had his first school Christmas party this year. There are only 3 others in his class and they had joined the class next door for the party. We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Brayden loved opening presents once he got the hang of it. We traveled to Memphis to be with Bo's mom's family and then to Greenville to be with Bo's parents and his dad's family. We came back home for my family's Christmases. We did lots of traveling, but were blessed to spend lots of time with family. Here are lots of pics, but I couldn't post one, without posting them all.

18 Months Old

Brayden is now 18 months old! Time flies!! He is learning more and more everyday! He is talking more and more and is starting to put words together now such as "bye bye mama" and same for daddy. He tries to repeat words when we ask him to. We haven't found a food he doesn't like. He can tell you what all the farm animals say now. We are still working on him saying his name. He won't even try to say it. He loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Elmo, and Barney. He knows when we get to my parents' house and my grandparents' house. He will start saying their names. We went to the Dr. today for shots and stats. Weight: 26 lbs...50% Height: 34 1/4 inches....95% Head: 18 1/2.... 25%. He's tall and skinny. I have attatched a picture from a year ago and today. It shows just how much he's changed!

It's Christmas Time at The Edmiston's

I have had my tree up for a little over a week now. We had a time with Brayden the first couple of days it was up. I put the lights and ornaments on the tree while he was asleep and when he woke up he saw it. He starts pointing and saying "Ball....Ball.....Ball" , so I thought to myself what have I done. He tried taking the "balls" off the tree and got a few spankings, but now we doesn't touch it. He still points at the "balls", but only looks! He has a tree in his room too with all of Bo's baseball ornaments and a few my mom had given him. I thought I had made another mistake by putting that one in his room, really, with all the BALLS. The first day it was up, he would bring me the "balls", but he has now left it alone too. In the pictures, his tree looks like a Charlie Brown tree, but I have not fixed it since he has stopped touching it. Brayden gets so excited when we turn his tree on in the mornings. I am through with the inside. We will probably decorate the outside this weekend, since Bo will be going back to work the day after Thanksgiving.

Bo and Brayden went to feed the ducks at the lake last week. Brayden didn't like being by the aggressive ducks. Bo could not put him down. They went to another spot and the ducks were much friendlier and Brayden had fun feeding them.

Brayden was going to be a lion for Halloween, but he wanted to be a monkey instead. He can actually do the monkey sound and action better than the lion, that's why he was a monkey. He had fun Halloween. Bo had to work, so we just went to family before he had to leave. Brayden and I met up with Gavin and Brantley for supper. Brantley was a fireman and I don't really know what Gavin was. Brayden didn't like him too much at first.

A couple of Saturdays ago, my church went to the pumpkin patch. We had so much fun. Christie, Shawn, Gavin, and Brantley went with us. The kids loved playing in the corn and in the cotton! We also went on a hay ride and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows! The pictures I got aren't really that good because it was dark and I really couldn't tell if I was focusing right or what I was taking a picture of. Here are a few. Rani's visit to Columbus

My good friend Mary Martha finally came to Columbus with her new little one, Rani. She's 10 weeks now. She's growing, but still so little, :) I guess compared to Brayden. They stopped by the house for a little bit. We had fun palying with her. Brayden kept saying "baby" , so he is realizing he needs to be gentle around her. We missed Laura and Joshua! A few weeks ago, we moved Brayden's baby bed out of his room and put a twin bed up. He hasn't been using his baby bed for several months now, so we thought a twin bed would be better for his room. We didn't redo anything except the quilt. His room was ONLY baseball, now it's ALL sports. He lays on his pillow while trying to go to sleep and all he says is "ball, ball". That's all he wants to do these days is play with balls!

Successful Garage Sale!

Last weekend, my cousin and I had a garage sale and so did ALOT of other people around town. It was a success! I was so exhuasted afterwards though, it will be a LONG time before I have another! I made $130, which I thought was pretty good. I got rid of some junk and made a little extra money! It's lots of work, for those of you who have not ever had one. I wasn't very organized at first, but you learn as you go. Bo had to work, so he missed all the fun and Brayden stayed inside at my aunt's and played with his cousins, Gavin and Brantley.

A few pics over the last couple of weeks! We have been busy! Brayden has started Mother's Day Out at First Baptist. He loves it and I'm still trying to adjust to it. I have started helping my mom out some at the cleaners again. It's just different not having him around all the time. I miss the little monkey, but I am enjoying my time too. Bo and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past weekend. We went to Memphis to visit with Bo's grandfather and while we were there, we stayed with our friends Leigha and Jason. They kept Brayden Friday night while we went to Texas de Brazil, which was wonderful!!

Panama City Trip

So, a couple of weeks ago we went to Panama City Beach for a huge softball tournament. We had lots of free time and Brayden LOVED the beach. We were there while Tropical Storm Hannah hit the east coast. We were not affected by it. The weather couldn't have been any nicer. Bo went to play with a different team from last year. They didn't do so well, but they had fun.

On our way to Panama City Beach last weekend, we stop and spent the night with Drew and Ashley. It was a short trip. We went to the new Bass Pro Shop and Brayden had lots of fun there. He liked the fish, tents and boats. he liked getting in the boats and "driving" them. When Drew got home form work he, Bo and Brayden played a little basketball. Brayden has mastered climbing the steps and sliding down by HIMSELF. We have been trying to teach him how to climb up the little steps, sit and then slide. He always wanted to climb UP the slide, but it never worked and he would get so frustrated. He was so proud of himself and would do it over and over.

Our trip to Atlanta was quite eventful. We stayed in a really nice hotel-thanks to Bo's friend, Austin. He works at the Embassy Suites in Nashville, so he was able to get a really good deal on the rooms. We left early Tueasday morning heading for Atlanta. Brayden was good for the most part traveling for 4 hours. We also left with it pouring down raining here and we took the rain with us. We were going to the Braves vs. Cubs game on Tuesday and Wednesday. We got on the Marta Tuesday afternoon since it was next door to the hotel, got off at Underground Atlanta and took the shuttle ot the stadium.... as soon as we pull up to the stadium they announce that the game has been cancelled. NOTE: We have Brayden with us and it was his supper time by then and he was tired of eating goldfish and fruitloops and sitting still. It was not a fun trip back on the shuttle and Marta! So, on Wednesday there is a double header- 1:00pm and 7:00pm. I'm thinking that there is no way Brayden can sit and be GOOD through 2 ballgames. I have family that lives near by in Alpharetta, so I had called my aunt the day before and asked if we could come visit. Aunt Lynn came and picked me and Brayden up from the hotel for the afternoon while Bo and Austin went to the 1st game. We got to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch, then we picked cousin Taylor up from school and went to back to Aunt Lynn's to play for a little while. This was Brayden's first time meeting Taylor(she is his 3rd cousin). They had fun playing together. Brayden and I met Bo and Austin at the game at 7:00. I had to ride the Marta alone with Brayden and Bo met us at Underground to ride the shuttle. Brayden was not a happy camper at the ballgame. He's still to young for a 3 hour professional ballgame. I forgot my camera, I guess because I was nervous about riding the Marta alone and making sure I had everything for Brayden. Austin did get some pictures, so I will have to post the game pictures later. I did manage to get pictures of Taylor and Brayden playing.

15 Months

Today, Brayden is 15 months old and growing fast!

He is a little chatter box and not shy(most of the time). He is doing this squealing thing now too. Hopefully, it will go away when he can talk more. His favorite word is "that". Other words are "gee" for Wrigley(our dog), "baseball"(instead of just ball) "thank you"(of course it's not that clear, but we understand it). He is eating table food really well, there's NOT much that he doesn't like. He loves raviolli, potatoes, rice, ham, tomatoes, cheese, cheese puffs, goldfish, fuit loops and animal crackers-just to name a few. He is a little monkey...loves to climb on everything! His favorite toy is a ball, it doesn't matter what kind or how big-he can spot one a mile away. We have to avoid walking by them in Walmart! =) He loves to ride the 4-wheeler and the golf cart. Most of the time he falls asleep on them- i guess because he has to be still! He's an active little one! We are still enjoying every minute of it!

We're Back!

This summer has been busy for us, especially over the last month.

We went to Loxley,AL and moved Drew and Ashley into their new house in June.
The next week we went to Vaiden, MS to help our good friends Mary Martha and Don move into their new house. Don is now the Associate/Youth pastor at Vaiden Baptist Church. Bo and I went to his ordination service last Sunday in Louisville. They are also about to have their first child/daughter. Rani is due August 22, but she may come anyday now.
Laura(MM's sister) and little Joshua came to MS all the way from NM for a visit, so we got to meet and play with him for the first time. He's 3 months old and a spitting image of his daddy right now.
I have gotten together with friends from college a couple of times. We are trying to get together once a month. It's been fun catching up with everyone. Last month, we met at Mi Toro's and gave Mary Martha and suprise baby shower.
Bo has been playing softball on the weekends he's off, which is only 2 each month.
Last week, we went to Pope, MS to visit with some of Bo's family. We took one of the 3 girls to Memphis with us to visit with Papaw and Nanny(bo's mom's parents). After our visit, we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to eat and let the kids play for a little while, before we made our trip back home. Brayden and Maggie had lots of fun.
I celebrated my 27th birthday in June.
Bo celebrated his 27th birthday last Friday (1st).
School has started back and we kept Rowe for a couple of days and on Wednesdays, Gavin comes over after school since it's an early day.
Tuesday, we are heading to Atlanta to watch the Cubs vs. Braves (bo's birthday present from me and Brayden and we are taking Brayden along too) =)

So we just thought Brayden was ready for bed the other night. As you can see on the clock it says 10:30....way past his bed time. He had taken a late nap and we thought he would be tired by then. Usually after his bath he is ready to go to sleep, but not this night!

1st Haircut

I know that Brayden doesn't have THAT much hair to be cutting on, but the back was looking a little shaggy. Everytime he would walk or run, the back would flow in the wind. It just needed a little shaping up. So yesterday, we went and got his first haircut. He did so good.

Drew and Ashley bought a house! So when Bo got off Friday morning we headed to Loxley to help them move. Brayden stayed here with my parents, which was the first time for us to leave him for that length of time. It was hard, but he was waving us off. We had a busy weekend ahead of us. When we got to Loxely we helped Ms. Margie move some things and Bo mowed the back yard for Drew. Saturday, Bo and Drew moved all the furniture and Ashley and I put it back to together and got everything in order. They didn't move very far. They are still in Loxley but right across the Highway from their other house. You can actually see the old neighborhood from their backyard. Congratulations Drew and Ashley!!

Lockheart Fun Night

My good friend Jenny Simmons got married this past weekend in Memphis to Robert Angie. Mary Martha and I got to go. It was a short trip, but worth it! The wedding was beautiful and so was Jenny. It was at a small chapel at a camp that Jenny used to go to when she was growing up. So, it was a special place for her. There were a few friends from college that got to come also. It was so good to see everyone and catch up!

I came across a new children's book a couple of weeks ago- "Let Me Hold You Longer" by Karen Kingsbury. I have several of her books, but this one is a children's book. It focuses on holding on to your child's lasts, along with their firsts. I was packing up Brayden's bottles and some of his "baby" toys. It really made me sad. I have packed up clothes several times and it didn't bother me. When I came across this book, I thought it was perfect. I just wanted to share. It's a great book for new mom's and mom's that have children leaving home or for college.

We went to Greenville a couple of weekends ago and got to go swimming. Brayden got to swim last year, but this was his first year to enjoy the water. He loved it! I just wanted to post this website of Reed Thompson. This is a guy who played baseball with Bo for 2 years in Jr. College (Mississippi Delta Community College) and also a couple of summers. Some of you may know him or his family. He was in a really bad car accident in Dallas, TX a couple of weeks ago and just woke up on Friday. Praise God! Reed's dad keeps the website updated regularly. I wish that I had posted this sooner, but it's better now than never. He still has a long road ahead of him. Please pray for Reed and his family.

Brayden has a bubble mower and loves it! He LOVES to push this all over the back yard. While it's being pushed, it blows bubbles and Brayden loves to watches them float off. He tries to catch them but he can't figure out why he can't grab them....(they pop when he touches them) It's the funniest thing to watch him. This day, we were also playing in the octpus sprinkler, but I didn't get any pics of it because I had to be right there with Brayden getting wet! Hopefully, he will be brave next time.

Brayden turned ONE yesterday! Bo and I (and Brayden)have made it through the first year of parenthood and it has been wonderful!! Brayden had a baseball themed party and family and friends were invited. Brayden had so much fun playing with is little friends. I actually did not take the first picture of anything! I know, I'm a bad mom, but my father in law takes pictures anyway and I asked him if he would be the photographer for the party. So, he is going to send me the pics and I will post them soon! We enjoyed visting with everyone and Brayden had a wonderful time! Brayden got lots of toys and clothes. Bo's favorite was the Cubs jersey. Bo is a big Cubs fan(as you could tell by our dog's name, Wrigley) and Brayden got a jersey of his own! It was so cute on him and that is what he ended up wearing for the party, it really fit the theme perfectly though. Pictures will be coming soon!

Brayden Hughes Edmiston, the love of our life, came into this world on Friday, May 18, 2007. Sunday, he will turn a year old. This year has flown by and Bo and I have been so blessed. I thank God everyday for this little boy. I have also been blessed to get to stay at home with him. It's amazing watching everything go on in his life so far, from holding his head up, to rolling over, to sitting up, to getting his first tooth, to saying his first word, to crawling, to standing up, and now to walking everywhere. Oh, the list just keeps going! This child has taught me so much in this one year- I can't imagine how much better it will get as the years go by.

Mother's Day

This was my first Mother's Day! It was a beautiful day. We spent the afternoon at my parents house to celebrate Drew's birthday and Mother's Day. Drew's birthday was last Thursday, and he was actually born on Mother's Day. Drew and Ashley could not believe how good Brayden was getting around. We had a good visit with them. Drew actually got to keep Brayden by himself on Saturday for a little bit. They are coming back next weekend for Brayden's birthday. My good friend Mary Martha and her husband Don are going to have a little GIRL in August!

My good friend/roomate in college, Conner, had a baby girl, Ruby Jane Cochran, and she is precious!

Another college friend, Sarah, had a little boy, Will, who by the way has lots of beautiful hair.

Mary Martha's sister Laura had a baby boy this past friday, Joshua Leo Smith, and he is precoius too!

Lea Ann and Steve got married this past weekend. Congratulations to you both! The wedding was beautiful and it was good to see some good friends from highschool and college! :)

Long time no blog

It's been about 2 weeks again since our last post. There are no excuses. Brayden is almost a year old and has not been sick at all, except for teething side effects(a little fever and runny nose). We had to go to the Dr. last weekend because a place on Brayden's face was getting bigger and bigger. He was diagnosed with cellulitus which is an infection. He has acted like nothing has been wrong with him and no fever, just swollen lymph nodes behind his ears. Today, we decided to carry him back to the Dr. and it is healing! Praise the Lord. We have been worried all week, since we have not seen a big difference, but things are healing up just fine. :)Here are a few pics of Brayden playing over the last couple of weeks... you can see his sore of his face.... it really looks a lot better now.

11 Months Old!

Today, Brayden is 11 months old. One more month and this little one will be a year old!! I can't believe that this year with him has gone by so fast. Brayden is EVERYWHERE now! He is almost to the point of running, he walks so fast. We are constantly chasing him. It's amazing how much he understands now. He is about to get his 5th tooth and is eating great! He weighs 23 lbs now. We have been giving him more table food lately and he loves it. We love to play outside. Brayden starts crying when it's time to come in.

Keeping Rowe

Last week I kept Celeste's little boy, Rowe. We had a good and challenging week. The challenging part was not Rowe, it was my own child~ Brayden. He didn't know what to think about another baby having his mom's attention. Rowe was an angel. He could not have been any better. For the most part, Brayden did good too. He liked touching Rowe's feet for some reason and he liked all of Rowe's toys over his own.

We told Brayden to give Rowe a kiss and he leaned over to him with his mouth wide open!

It's been a while since my last post. I had to have some work done on my computer and I just got it back yesterday!

I got to post Easter pics of Brayden. Brayden had a wonderful Easter as you could tell. Bo was working nights that weekend, so he didn't make it to church with us. My parents had family over to their house for lunch and it was good to spend time with them. My dad is crazy over Brayden and the eggs you see in the Easter pitures, he dyed 3 dozen of them for Brayden to play with. Brayden just liked throwing them. :)

The Saturday before, we went to the park for an Easter egg hunt and got to meet up with several friends from high school and all of their babies! It was so good to see everyone. More to come soon!
